All things technical, not

I'm probably asking for it, but....

I wonder whether someone reading the typical threads on the infrared list
might think we are all just a bunch of chemistry, physics, and gadget geeks
without any other cultural interests. Thankfully, the introductory
biographies prove otherwise. I'm currently reading a Walker Evans biography
and saw an interesting parallel between his collecting of turn of the
century cultural detritus and Angela Estes-Ogdens (new member and "Nut" nut)
interest in 50's stuff. I've read and heard many interviews where
photographers cite jazz music as a big influence on their work. I would be
interested in hearing from other members why they use infrared film. How do
their infrared images relate to their other work, their other interests. I
would also be interested in hearing about published books (art, not tech),
exhibits, more than just websites, of infrared work.
