Frankly, I have never read so much hogwash about IR as in this book 
review.
Or: how do I make sure that myths about IR stay alive and kicking,
and invent a wagonload of new ones....I thought I had seen/heard
them all in the past...."keep the IR-radiation in the
fixer"....people shouldn't write books when they are drunk, or at
least release it as a true April Fool's book.

Sorry for this rant....I just read some other article in a Dutch photo mag 
about stabilized binoculars, also containing lots of errors and 
omissions....stating rumours as facts ("Russian gyro is unreliable, 
buy three to keep one running"), while he most likely never used 
one....in that case he would at least have stated that the stabilized 
effect was a magnitude better than the Zeiss and Canon stabilized 
binoc's. I can't stand this kind of behind the desk research that 
ends in creating myths. 
And they get even *paid* for this lousy work....sick!

To Rolland: forget about this book very quickly; on my homepage (URL 
in the footer below) you find a link to an IR-book overview/review 
page, as well as other IR-info. Start there....this Theresa doesn't 
even deserve it that we analyze her mistakes....a waste of time 
IMNSHO.
