I had purchased this book and, frankly, hadn't read it yet. My first
impression had been good because, instead of just saying shoot at ISO
200 - that's what I shoot at, she seemed to have good reasoning for
how to choose what ISO to shoot at. I shoot routinely at 1000 ISO
(yes I like grain and tend to aim away from having the very strong
highlights of infrared.)
Now since reading all of the postings, I have thoroughly read that
chapter and ..... I'm nearly speechless.
I have used her bleach formula from one of the other chapters and it
worked. Has anyone read any of the other chapters and found such
glaring errors? It might be appropriate to email me directly with
such info, if possible, so as to not irritate those interested in
infrared only.
BTW she also lumps all older Canon cameras together (A series with EOS
series etc) in terms of usability for infrared. I guess if you don't
have one of the 4 Canons she mentions, you'd better use Nikon. Funny
how my AE-1 and A-1 have never given me any problems. HMMMMMPH!
