transparency of ? materials to IR

Hello all...

Does anyone know if the following materials
are transparent to infrared, and will not show up
on B&W IR:

sunglass type material (both regular and polarizing material)
window tinting, both car, and office
clouds (?)
fog

Also,

Does anyone know how the IR filters mentioned on this
list will perform when attached to a camcorder?

Does the "spectral" range of the imaging device (vidicon?)
in the camcorder include infrared as is discussed here?
If so, then attaching a IR filter should produce some
very interesting effects. Not only for the art of it,
but also for surveillance applications as well.

The question is, if this is indeed do-able, which filter(s)
is best?

Is there a web site where this is discussed?

Thanks for your help,

Bob Mazzullo
