Hi Steve,

If you ever get to NY, specifically Brooklyn, you would find the
waterfront area, from the Brooklyn Bridge down to Red Hook, and on to
Sunset Park to be a great place to shoot. There are lots of shipyards,
both in use and abandoned, from Brooklyn's shipping heyday of the 20's
to 50's, there are lots of auto wrecking yards (as well as the tow
pound!), the old Brooklyn Navy Yard, and lots of old piers & warehouses
from which to shoot unusual scenes of the NY skyline, Statue of Liberty
etc. I've used lots of infrard down there, as it's perfectly suited.

I've used in on occasion as a spare filter, and I shoot mainly Konica
IR, and found it works quite well. But then, I also use old red filters
of unknown origin which I tape over my Diana's lens, using Konica 120
film, and really like the results. Perhaps more "touchy feely than
scientific" , but it works for me! Good luck with it.
