Thin negs

Sorry, I meant to say Rodinal or *D-76*.  In Rodinal, I've used 1:25
at 75F for 5 minutes.  This was a recommendation by a good shooter from within
a photo club.  I see that the Infrared FAQ recommends 1:50 for 10 min
(at 68F, I presume).

I don't remember the D-76 times, but I used Kodak's recommended time. 

My most recent thin negs came using Rodinal.  However, I was pushing it past
its expiration date (a practice that was considered fine back when Rodinal was
sold in glass bottles with good stoppers, not today's plastic ones).  That
might 
be my present problem.  I'm going to have to narow down the variables.


Does anyone else on this list "push the limit" on developers or am I the only
one 
with this bad habit?
