Split tone printing

Happy New Year to all!

just spent an afternoon split tone printing IR prints. Toned on sepia then
iron blue toner for 1-2 minutes with disasterous results. The prints are far
too blue and not as I have seem other split tone printing.

Has anyone a system they have successfully used to split tone?
