Infrared sensitivity of Silicon PhotoDiodes

Hi all:

Does anyone know what if any sensitivity SPD's have in the infrared
band?

I have used the TTL meter of my Nikon F-801 successfully to meter scenes
through an R25 filter but the results tend to vary wildly depending on
the subject matter.  For instance, the HIE will be heavily (over)
exposed when photographing green foliage in direct sunlight.  Although I
find ISO 400 to be a good overall speed to set my camera at for TTL
metering, I would like to refine my method of expsure determination.
Fortunately HIE has a wide exposure latitude and one can get printable
negatives even with three stops overexposure.  (trust me I know...)
