Backplate dimples & Re: Mercury Frustration :)

I have had some nasty experience with dimples on the back pressure plate.  I
ONCE used a Minolta
AF9000 camera with a grid of dimples in the pressure plate.  It didn't
happen regularly, but occasionally the dimples would form a pattern of plus
density spots on HIE film resulting in dark spots on your prints.  It was
very annoying to say the least, unless you're looking for that "special
effect".
