I've been asking around about the reason one must load IR film in
darkness (after several reports from people who were able to do it
in subdued light, and others saying it was impossible without
fogging). One person told me that the reason for the requirement
was that the light trap felt was not opaque to IR -- perhaps not
always opaque to IR? Same should be true of 70mm cassettes, yet I
have not had this problem. Other theories?
