<Why the hardener?
Karin: Over the years, I have tended to include the hardner in the fix for
film (in the belief that it protects the emulsion a bit from scratches) and
have left it out of the fix for prints (in the belief that the prints are
easier to spot if not hardened). I have yet to encounter problems that I
can trace to this habit, so I just keep doing it. Always interested in
others' input on such rituals. This old dog IS looking for new tricks.
