Hi,
I'm not surprised that you set your camera at 1600 ASA. I set it on 640
ASA with a #25 filter TTL metering. The difference is in the
development. To limit grain it's important not to develop too long.
(unless you want grain!). See my homepage (URL in the footer below) and
see how I do it. I assure you I get excellent negatives!
