Underwater IR

Hi,
Has anyone tired to use IR film underwater? I have a Nikonos IV and was
thinking of trying it with IR film underwater - I usually set my camera to
1/125 to 1/250 at f16 through a #25 filter. I though that if I used the
setting of 1600 ASA (to compensate for the 3 stops of loss through the
filter) at f 11 and f 16.
Is there enough IR under water for this to work? Would I be better going
with the Ilfrod SFX as it is more of a mixed spectrum film? Am I crazy?
