Yes, I have some experience with Ilford XFS200 35 mm film, so not with
the 120 type. You are quite correct by saying, that the best results
come with B&W nr. 92 filter. The manufacturer also recommends this
filter for the best results. It's almost opaque, but you have to meter
without the filter and afterwards place the filter over the lens prior
to shooting. I must say that I'm not at all diaappointed about the IR
effects on my pictures. Under sunny conditions I exposed the film at 200
ASA without the filter. Developed 8 1/2 minute in XTOL 1+1 at 20 degrees
Celsius gave me excellent negatives. Still I prefer HIE!!
