I would be interested where you heard that your Fidelity holders will
'leak like a sieve'. We have used these holders with out sinar 5x4
cameras for years and we have never had a problem (yet!). They
are mainly used in a studio but I have used them on location a few
times and have had no fogging.

I understand your advice about handling the film, you can never
be to careful. But you should be able to only touch the very sides
of the film and place it in the darkslide. I only mention this incase
some one wishes to only take a few darkslides on location with them
and load, shoot, box the film using a changing bag. with a little bit
of
practice you will be able to do this. Though I have yet to see one
of my students do this, I have yet to have a finger print on any IR
film.

You can tell if your holders have IR-opaque slides by looking at the
part that
you use to pull the slide. Five raised dots indicates that the slide is
okay to
use. My Riteway holders work just fine, though I've been told that my
Fidelity
holders will leak like a sieve (they have eight raised dots).

When loading the film, be prepared to deal with the problems of film
curvature
(if you've shot the 35mm version you'll have an idea as to what I'm
talking
about). Also, DEFINITELY wear latex gloves. The oils on your fingers
will
leave marks on the film (even if you diligently wash your hands
beforehand).
