I've got a friend who tried using his Fidelity holders and resulted in badly
fogged negatives. Do yours have five raised dots on the part you draw the
slide? If so, then the slides should be okay.
I use gloves while loading because I have seen the problems caused by not doing
so. If you can load them without gloves then my hat goes off to you. The
excessive curl factor, in addition to the worry that if I slip I "might" touch
the surface (in which case does one hope for the best or trash $2 worth of
film?) leads me to their use. In the field I would think that sliding on a pair
of gloves should be no problem. Additionally, the gloves give one more gripping
power to facilitate loading.
