Hi. David,
Look at my homepage which is specially created for beginners. All your
questions are answered there and it is very practical! I use a changing
bag frequently and in my opinion there are a lot of wrong information
circling about it. It is my experience, that if you buy a good quality
bag, you can use it everywhere also in direct sunlight! I use it in the
open field in the shade if there is. A good investment! On my homepage
you find more info about the bag. If you have a proper darkroom you
don't need a changing bag in that room. So look for a good bag: two
layers of tight fabric coated with some sort of rubber. There should be
two zippers to properly lock it! What I always do as an extra: I put off
my wristwatch! I don't do if this is really necessary. I also put the
watch off while loading/unloading in the darkroom.
