My understanding is that Microdol will not get you "tighter grain." If this is
what you are looking for, I would recommend that you try Konica's IR film
If you are just starting out, a #25 filter will work just fine. Opaque filters
are definitely different from the #25, but I'd suggest some experience before
going that next step.
