Personal history of photography:
Recieved my first camera, and Olympus OM-10 at the age of 17. Attended the
Nova Scotia College of Art and Design between 1987 and 1995, studying
photography almost exclusivly. Since 1990 I have worked as the Photo
Technician at the Provincial Archives in Nova Scotia, and currently work
between there, a local Photo Shop, and fine art photography.
Preferred subjects:
The nude, ruins, architecture, digital images for Visual Poems
Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
My prefered films (in no particular order) are Kodak HIE, Konica 720, TMX,
TMY, Delta 400, Delta 100, when making images, I use a full range of
filters from light yellow to deep red. In the darkroom, I absolutly in
love with Xtol developer, and print on Agfa Classic Fibre paper using
Ilford's Multigrade developer.
Format (35mm/medium format/large format):
35mm, Nikon N6006, 19mm f2.8, 35mm f2, 50mm f1.8, 60mm f2.8 Macro, 85mm
f1.8, 135mm f2.8 and 35-135 f3.5-4.5 lenses, Russian Horizont panaramic
camera, 28mm f2.8 lens, Nikonos IV underwater camera.
4"x5" Wista, 75mm f4.5, 150mm f5.6 and 210mm f5.6 lens
8"x10" Burke and James, 12" f6.3 lens.
Other strange hobbies:
None that come to mind...I do have a pet turtle...
