Rolland:
Thanks for all of that great info! I was wondering....I am about to go ahead
and buy the opaque filter for shooting infrared.........I know the opaque is
#87.......i found a chart that shows how much of the infrared light is
transmitted.....87b= 940nm 37c=850nm......what is your experience with these
filters? I am ordering the filters from B+H.....they advertise a filter for
infrared with the following numbers: 092,093,099,489.....do you know if these
are the same as the 87 series? In the catalog I don't see Tiffen....Heliopan
or Hoya list them.....I know there is a hoyaR720......is this equal to an
opaque87? What about Cokin? Should I even get one? I bought an infrared
book by Laurie White and she says to just stick with a deep red! Then what's
the point of the opaque filter?
Please!............any input would be greatly appreciated!!!
Astrid
