Thanks for the info - I will definitely try it. I'm thinking of
cutting down some 70mm and respooling it on 220 rolls to see if I get
hooked before investing all that money in a new back and processing
tank & reels. 220 film is about 62mm width, so I'm guessing I could
build some kind of jig that will let me trim down the 70mm (probably
removing the sprocket holes) in the dark. Of course, spooling it into
220 rolls in the dark will be fun. I'll have to load and unload my
backs in the dark too, but if I like the results well enough I
shouldn't have too much trouble talking myself into the new equipment.
