halogen lighting

i was taking a walk this afternoon and saw a sign for a really cheapo
halogen worklight. and i`m thinking, hmmmmmm now would this work as a fake
studio lighting? it`s only $10 and i`m thinking, hmmm light up the kittens
and my (once-)beautiful yucca palm, with kits firmly attached of course,
and maybe my other two cats and try some portraits.

so, how does ir film go with halogen (& indoor) lighting? a def. no-no,
waste of time & money, or worth a shot?

siri [currently waiting for the t-max to reach a decent temp so she can
process some films, at the mo it4s stubbornly sticking to 8C which is a tad
cold even for norway...]
