Dear Rolland,

I think if you pulled the development by about 1/3 stop by
cutting down the development time by the appropriate amount.
There must be a gamma chart for Kodak EIR in E6 so you might
be able to determine the number of seconds to pull from it.

Pre-flashing might work but you'll have to register mark the
film and some point in the camera. You might have to look at
it to get it lined up exactly--maybe you could notch the film
leader with scissors and do it by feeling the edge of the film
rail or something. Flash each frame at six stops under exposure
with the lens completely defocussed on a 18% gray card.
When you've pre-flashed the number of exposures that you want
rewind the film with the leader hanging out of the cassette.

Let me know how it works out!

Hank Hogan --

BTW, I'm looking for a job as a biological science research
technician. If you know of anyone who might need a technician
with my skills (see resume on my home page) please let me know.
