Last year I was asked to have my hand luggage checked at Dusseldorf 
airport, Germany. I had a lot of photographic equipment with me and 
about 120 rolls of film. They opened every (!) canister, turned 
every (!) knob and let me put it back into its canister once it 
said "click". Plus the routine control if the cameras work. BTW did 
anyone get problems with an EOS RS/RT which does not have mirror 
blackout nor slap? :-))

I was quite amazed by the amount of additional work they did and 
their scrutiny. I guess that without the whole Lowe photo trekker 
full of cameras and lenses they would not have hand checked it. 
A "thank you" in advance can also help sometimes...

Where did you get that information from? I would like to know more
