Questions: Loading Konica 120, D-76

Have just started shooting Konica 120.  I'm used to shooting HIE, loading and
unloading it in complete darkness.  Does Konica require the same completely
dark conditions? (It would be great, though not necessary, to see where the
"start" mark is on the roll.)

Also, has anyone used D-76 to develop Konica?  If so what times, dilution, and
results compared to other developers?
