Thanks... and I noticed the waffle pattern myself when I looked at the
pictures on my system at the office, so tried a couple of things.  When you
click on the picture to see the full size version, the pattern goes away...
 it's only there on the smaller versions and on systems set to a certain
resolution.  It seems to be an artifact of the JPEG compression and the
scaling on the small versions.

Ideas anyone??
