Bronica mags and filters

I am experimenting with putting #25 and #87 filters on Broicas in a way that
I can see what I am doing. I can tape a Gel or perhaps even a polyester to
the front of the mag inside the flanges and it will still mount ok. I made a
cover for the front of the mag from plastic with spaces cut for all the
protrusions so that it will fit flush and maybe protect the filter when it
is not on the camera. I guess my first concern, before I waste any costly
70mm HIE, is whether the filter between the mag and the camera body will
throw off the focussing. I am thinking that if it does it may eliminate the
need to focus correct for IR since I am possibly moving the film away from
the lens. Any ideas before I shoot film or should I be the guinea pig for
this?
