Thanks for your reply, the stripes are vertical in landscape, that is they run from 
sprockets on one side of the film to the other at about the same frquency as the 
sprockets, so one frame, approx 25mm by 56mm would have about 11 stripes. 
Looking at the negatives it is difficult to judge  but they appear to be possibly 
lighter density stripes about 3mm to 1mm  wide on the negative which is very 
strange. You can see the picture through the stripes so maybe they are wider 
darker sripes and the lighter areas are the gaps between them. I plan to expose a 
roll of HIE with a lightproof bag taped over the whole of the camera back, to test for 
light leaks. If not then could they be mechanical stress marks caused by the very 
small radius at one point in the film path of the Bronica 135wide back?
