Re: sripes on HIE with Bronica
Cameron
I did encountered same problem with my Bronica 35mm wide back when using
Kodak HIE. and post a message on May 06, 1998. And till now I still can't
figure out what's the cause.
But I like to tell list members this: those stripes are vertical in
landscape, that is they run from sprockets on one side of the film to the
other at about the same frquency as the sprockets so one frame, approx. 25mm
by 56mm would have about 11 stripes which only appear inside the image area.
On negative it is lighter stripes, on prints it show darker stripes and
gradually fade off toward the centre of the picture. I put a black sticker
on pressure plate but still having problem.
I don't think this is a light leak from the dark slide slot, because those
stripes are to uniform on the negatives. As for could they be mechanical
stress marks, how can we prove this?
