color enlarger Durst M670

Hi Gavin,
I use this enlarger myself. The following applies to multicontrast
paper:
The magenta /yellow settings given to you by Cameron Shaw are very
correct. It's one filter setting at the time contrary to the ones given
to you by Robbie, which is a combination of yellow/magenta. The
advantage of this combination is that you don't need to adjust the
exposure time. At the settings given by Cameron you need to adjust
exposure time a little However I prefer the 'Cameron-way', it's very
simple and I found out that you get pictures of a better contrast (there
is no yellow filtration when you use normal negatives!!). Yellow softens
the contrast which I don't like. With the sort of negatives I have
(normal) I use mostly 45 till 60 magenta. With HIE negatives I increase
magenta mostly up to say 80 - 90. BTW if you use Ilford papers
(Multicontrast), there is always an information leaflet in every packet
of paper stating all the settings for various contrasts. I presume that
all other technical matters and the way to handle the enlarger are all
known to you!?
Success!
Sincere greetings
