I shot fireworks last year with IR.  You can toss the "ISO" out the window. 
Your exposure time (surprise) will be dictated by your F stop.  I set things at
about F8, kept the shutter open between about 10 and 20 seconds.  This is
determined by the fireworks that you think might have shown in the viewfinder.

Try a bunch of things.  You'll probably find some things that work.  I took my
pictures after the ballgame in Bowie and got white foliage in the trees behind
the display.
