To finish off the first roll of HIE I shot a short while
ago (I was eager to see it & the weather turned bad), I
shot several frames in a darkened room w/ an "InfraRed
Heat Lamp" as the only illumination. It provided sufficient
exposure, in the future I intend to set up a few more &
try this again. A nice advantage of the constant light is
that you can see your shadows, etc.

ps: as to all this "monitor gamma" -- mine isn't adjustable &
perhaps my IR's would be best viewed by brightening the
screen at the viewer's end.
