The best is something usually called "gaffers" tape. Lowel sells it, I think
other brands are Permacel and Comprehensive.
It was originally designed for use by the lighting techs for films so they
could tape lights and cords to walls in peoples home...and pull them off
later without pulling off the paint or leaving any residue.
Amazing stuff, amazing price!
I've been taping my Diana with it for the last ten years. I think I've
changed the tape less than once per year during those ten years. So if you
recycle it can be economical.
