George, I would guess that you have captured the shockwave from the 
explosion.  How it is reflecting light I do not know, but it is reminiscent 
of sonic shock waves.  With our humidity on the 4th of July, even in 
suburban Bowie, it may compress the air enough to relect light from a 
reverse con trail.
