     The placement of a filter behind the lens won't affect focus of IR 
     light.  It will still have to be compensated for as usual.  The filter 
     removes the visual component of the light but the IR that passes 
     through with the same plane of focus it had before (disregarding the 
     thickness of the filter).

re response from Jim Wood on my question: is it necessary to adjust 
focus in case of sheetfilters (87, 87C) between the filmrails? I never 
thought about it and always adjusted focus for IR automatically. However 
since the filter is behind the lens there is no need to adjust focus 
anymore!? Is this correct? How do other LIST-members tackle this 
problem?
