Odd problem with Kodak EIR airphotos

I'm making arial ortho-photos (1000 m height with 2 bodies with 35 mm
lenses), using a.o. the false colour Kodak EIR 35mm film with yellow
filter. For an unknown reason there's always one side of the positive
images (exposed at around 500/11) that appears underexposed (higher
density). This is not related to the camera's functioning, because this
side is not always the same ! It seems to vary with flight direction, i.e.
the orientation with respect to the sun. It is neither due to specularity
because the underexposed side is on the side of the sun (azimuth 180 ).
Differential shading provides no explanation neither, because also flat,
horizontal objects as roads appear darker as elsewhere in the image.

Any idea ? Has anybody ever heard of such a problem ? Otherwise any idea
who else I can ask ?

Thanks, Tom
