HIE development time with D-76

     Hi, I think this might be a subject that was discussed several weeks 
     ago but I don't remember the concensus.  Please respond privately if 
     this is an old issue.  
     
     The new batches of HIE have info that indicates a much shortened dev 
     time of 8.5 minutes compared to the 11 minutes at 68F (that I and my 
     students have used successfully for years) for D-76.  Has anyone begun 
     using this reduced time?  What differences in the negative do you 
     notice?  Did Kodak change the film that this drastically reduced time 
     is the new standard?  What happened?
