I have used Patterson plastic tanks for all my Konica 750 and my HIE and
have seen no problems associated with the tanks. Before doing this, I
called Patterson (actually the distributor in the US whose name escapes me
at the moment) to verify the tanks are IR safe.
That said, I suggest you test any unknown plastic material on unimportant
film. Some plastics and the dyes used to color them are transparent to IR
even if they look black to the naked eye.
