Stan, I can't help with pin-holes, you're doing everything I would do.  I
have the same problem with finger prints.  However, washing my hands
immediately before loading and unloading film helps.  Otherwise try using
cotton or surgical gloves for handling unprocessed HSI. It's awkward, but ...
