pin holes

Help.

I shoot 4x5 HSI and process in D-76 diluted with distilled water.

My film is marked with fine pin-holes that print black. And despite the 
fact that I have been loading sheet film for over thirty-five years, I 
get fingerprints on the edges of HSI film (but on no other emulsion).

Does anybody have a remedy to these problems?
