HIE is so susceptible to fogging I load it in a darkroom, and I even
cover LED light from the radio and timer. Then I slap a piece of tape
over the camera and write "Infrared" to stop myself from automatically
opening it on location after my rewind (which I have done more than
once.) Loading this brittle film is difficult enough, and my  Patterson
tank spools seem to bind to a stop with about 6 frames left dangling.
However, since I washed them in the dishwasher they work better. Diane
