Minolta 500si and vignetting

I have a Minolta 500si, and when I shoot Konica IR film, I have no problem,
but with the more sensitive Kodak HIE, I get vignetting along the bottom of
the images (see
http://scc.net/~david/Photography/Animals/choochoo-and-candy.html and
http://scc.net/~david/Photography/Animals/grazing.html and
http://scc.net/~david/Photography/Animals/grazing2.html for examples). I
took cut a piece of black plastic liner used for photo paper, and used it
to cover the window over the film cartridge, but the vignetting is still
there. Might that plastic leak IR light? Or is it more likely due to a leak
elsewhere (I don't see any other obvious culprits), or maybe IR focusing?

David
