Even though those light sources (LED and neon power light) are on the other
side of the darkroom, they are emitting red light, to which IR is sensitive.
You should cover them while loading your film. Whether or not they caused
your problem, it's good practice to keep ALL light sources out while loading
film.  I even had problems with the luminescent dial of my Gra-Lab timer
fogging T-Max film.
