Contrast reducing by push-development? What film are you talking about?
Ektachrome EI (the old one) or the new EIR? I've never heard or seen
that pushing a film will result in a lower contrast. EIR is a bit
strange but not that strange ...

Yes, the film shows the highest contrast I've ever seen at color slide
film, even three stops pushed ISO 100 film is soft compaired to EIR.
I've taken some pictures with f/8 1/750 which is the setting I use
with a #12 filter and had also attached a polariser by mistake, which
will cost about 1.5 stops and the slide was almost black.

You mean pulling, or are you thinking of reducing contrast by overexposing
a bit? I'm still confused about your push statement.

An IR-reducing filter would be sometimes very good, anyone know a
useful filter? The Heliopan Video 103 cuts down IR als a whole.
Haven't tryed AR-5 processing because of its price (about DEM 20).
