Re: Techpan with deep red filters...
The UHC article was a two part series in the March and April 1993 Shutterbug
periodical. The author recommends an initial EI of 125 for 35mm and 120,
and 64 for 4x5 sheet. The other recommendation (in addition to EI and red
or orange filtration) is stock D-19 @ 68 degrees F for 4 minutes.
If anyone is interested, there are three samples under the "Black and White"
category at www.pioneerplanet.infi.net/~nkeith. They are the first three
images. As Mr. Krebs mentions below, D-19 and Techpan create nearly lith
images with little tonal range.
