I have seen quotes of 1100nm, which could explain why previous
methods (HIE, ordinary b&w/color videocameras) didn't see as much
through clothing in the first place.
Also note that typical image intensifiers (night vision) rarely
exceeds 900nm either (with an increase through history, starting at
700-800nm for the 1st Gen units).
