Agfa 1280 used to record IR image

I apologize if this subject has also been discussed to death here but following
a lead I obtained on another list I have tried to make photographs with my Agfa
ePhoto 1280 camera while the lens is covered with various IR filters. It seems
to work fairly well as long as one has LOTS of IR present (direct sunlight
seems to work well) and the IR filter is not too deep. I have made images with
up to an 87C filter although the ones made with the 87C exhibit significant
"noise" and those that are made with an 88A look quite reddish (which is, of
course, removed later when the image is saved in tones of grey instead of a
color one).

The LCD screen on the camera is quite dim doing this but I found that if one
chose the "candlelight" setting for viewing it becomes much more acceptable.
For me the next step will be to try the camera with tungsten lamps but this
will have to wait till the weekend.

BTW, I still have not purchased the TRV85 and I would still welcome any
informative comments you might have and if this has been discussed to death on
this list just send them to my e-mail address given below. Thanks.

regards,
