Re: HIE scratches

Several months ago I had the same problem with one roll of HIE.  
Unfortunately, I discarded the leader so I cannot say that the 
marks ran the entire length of the roll, but the rest of it has an 
unbroken line from begining to end and in definitely not a scratch in 
the emulsion.  Holding the film obliquely you cannot see a scratch 
on either surface of the film.  And, it didn't happen before or since
even in the same batch (2871 I believe).
