I saw your post about switching from Canon to Nikon so you can use Infrared
films.  

I have been shooting IR in my Elan and A2 EOS bodies with no problem  The Film
sensors fog the sprocket area, but never affect the image.   Have you tried
Infrared films in your EOS cameras?
