overexposure

Hi all,
Although I've been on this list for a year, I've only shot 1 roll of infrared
35mm.  I recently took the plunge and bought a quantity and began
experimenting.  We had 8 inches of snow in California last week so I figured
it would be a great time to test the IR.  My exposures were fine,,,,the
problem was when I tried some inside shots.  I used a 75 watt light bulb as a
light source and had 3 victims pose for me (my children).  The shots were all
grossly overexposed.  This surprised me as I expected the light bult to not be
that effective.  I just thought I'd share that with everyone and would love to
hear any comments.
